Now I know lots of people who these days would prefer to curl up on the sofa and observe movies at home, but these cult movies have to be seen on the big screen should you be ever in Los Angeles.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This musical comedy horror cult classic which stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and also the great Tim Curry as a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" may be the longest-running midnight movie ever. There was a good performance by The Kyle Gass Band which featured a special guest appearance by Jack Black as Evil Elvis. Oh yeah, they did show the movie there at the same time.
"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World"
What "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is to the Nuart Theatre, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" has become to New Beverly Cinema.
