It is the story of your Cajun boy with his fantastic family, living around the bayous in a way of life that we can barely imagine.

The boy's family rents land towards the oil company, which comes in, drills, and instead gives off everything exactly like it was, clean and unspoiled apart from the family features a little more money. (Yes, it absolutely was funded from the Standard Oil Company.)

The boy spends almost all of his time on his narrow boat (pirogue), floating along the bayous, prime snake and alligator habitat, along with his pet raccoon. There is not much story, merely a celebration (such stunning white and black photography that you can well wonder exactly what the big deal is about color) of the way of life that's no longer along with us.

All with the actors were amateurs, and then for most, this is their only film. As of April 2007, J.C. Boudreaux, who unquestionably boy, was residing in a FEMA trailer along with his wife of fifty-five years, after Hurricane Rita destroyed their house. (source). He had a possibility at fame in the movies, but that they stayed where he was from and apparently knew growing up an appreciation of family (a marriage of over 50 years) reflects why I consider The Louisiana Story a proper free movie first of our most family-friendly holidays.

First, I am thankful that The Passion of Joan of Arc was ever produced. Second, I am thankful that The Passion of Joan of Arc was preserved. The director Carl Theodor Dreyer (more) died believing that the last copy had been destroyed. In a bit of weirdness that sounds much more a movie as opposed to truth, an almost complete print was discovered in 1981 inside a janitor's closet of a Norwegian mental institution.

Finally, I am grateful that individuals can watch this magnificent film, on many lists from the greatest films ever, at no cost online at Gloria.tv, a Roman Catholic video site.
